WE ARE ITCHING TO GET OUT LIKE MOST PEOPLE AND SO WE’VE LOST JENNER AND PARENTS THAT I’VE TALKED TO WHO HAVE HAD THIS EXPERIENCE HAVE SAID THEY’VE DONE THINGS LIKE CHANGE TO BE IN THE BOOTH WHERE THEY’RE EATING OR THEY’VE RUSHED THROUGH DINNER AND WE DID TO CHANGE TO BE AT HOME BECAUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER. THERE’S SO MUCH SNOW ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR THAT THEY DON’T WANT TO JUST USE THEIR CHILD ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR. I HAVE FRIENDS WHO LEAD THE BABY’S BLANKET ON A DIRTY FLOOR TO CHANGE THE BABY AND THEN CONSIDERING IT’S WINTER WE’RE NO LONGER HAVE A CLEAN BLANKET TO TAKE THE BABY BACK TO THAT OTHER FRONTS OF PLASTER THE BLACK BATHROOM FLOOR WITH PEOPLE TOWELS BEFORE LAYING THE DIAPER PAT DOWN AND CHANGING BABY. I’M IN MY OWN EXPERIENCE WHEN MY SON WAS 2; 2; AND A HALF MONTHS WE TOOK A VACATION TO NORTH MYRTLE BEACH AND WE WERE WALKING ALONG THE BOARDWALK AND NONE OF THE PUBLIC SPACES HAD CHANGING TABLES. AND SO I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO LAY DOWN MY SWEATER ONTO THE SAND IN CHANGE MY SON THERE AND WE’LL KNOW THAT SAM GETS EVERYWHERE AND SO THAT TEAM TO THAT EXPERIENCE FOR ME MAKING ME NEVER WANT TO IGNORE THROUGH BEACH; A GUN. I REALLY FEEL PASSION ABOUT THIS BECAUSE UNKNOWN WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE COMPLETELY DEFEATED AS MOM WHO JUST WANTS TO GET OUT THE HOUSE AND SO WE GET TO A PLACE THAT DOESN’T HAVE A PLACE THAT I COULD CHANGE MY CHILD. THE OTHER THING I WANT TO KNOW WAS THAT CHILDREN GENERALLY ARE NOT POTTY TRAINED UNTIL AGE 3 WHICH MEANS A LOT OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILIES STOP GOING TO CERTAIN BUSINESSES FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT BUSINESS DOES NOT HAVE A CHANGING TABLE. PARENTS ARE IN SURVIVAL MODE. FIRST 2 YEARS OF HIS LIFE AND THEY DON’T HAVE TIME FOR CAPACITY TO CONTACT THEIR LEGISLATOR OR SPEAK UP AT THE BUSINESS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THEY REALLY JUST WANT TO SURVIVE AND SO WE CHOOSE THE BABY AND LEAVE AND DON’T RETURN. THE ONLY REASON I WAS ABLE TO BRING THIS UP REPRESENTED BACK THEN SAID WAS SHE LITERALLY CAME KNOCKING ON MY DOOR. WHILE I WAS ON MATERNITY LEAVE WITH THE ONE MONTH OLD AND SO I TOLD HER TO COME IN AND I’M SURE THIS THOUGHT WITH HER THAT I HAD 3 IN THE MORNING ABOUT CHANGING THE PROBLEM. AND THIS IS HOW THIS CAME TO BE OTHERWISE MOST PARENTS JUST GRIT THEIR TEETH AND BEAR IT AND THEN DON’T LOOK BACK ONCE THE KIDS ARE POTTY TRAINED. GET MY HUSBAND HAS ALSO FREQUENTLY TAKEN THE KIDS TO THE BATHROOM TO CHANGE THEM ONLY TO FIND NO CHANGING TABLE AND A REALLY DIRTY BATHROOM. I’VE NEVER BEEN IN A MEN’S ROOM SIDE; A 100 YEAR THEY ARE BUT HE HAS SAID THAT THE ARE DIRTIER THAN WOMEN’S ROOMS. AND TYPICALLY HE DOESN’T WANT TO USE A BATHROOM IN THERE LET ALONE CHANGE FOR CHILDREN. LIVING IN MINNESOTA I APPRECIATE THE WITH CHILDREN FAMILIES AND I THINK THAT WE CAN AHEAD OF THAT CURVE HERE IN THE U S BY SUPPORTING FAMILIES MOTHERS FATHERS; SINGLE PARENTS BY MAKING IT WANTS TO USE EAR TO BE A FAMILY TO PARENT THESE CHILDREN BY HAVING CHANGING TABLES AVAILABLE IN PUBLIC SPACES. FROM A PUBLIC HEALTH PERSPECTIVE ACCESS TO BASIC SANITARY NEEDS FOR BABIES IN PUBLIC LOCATIONS IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL THIS BILL ENSURES THAT. FROM A GEOGRAPHIC EQUITY PERSPECTIVE ACROSS GREATER MINNESOTA. WE SOMETIMES HAVE MORE PROBLEMS ACCESSING INFRASTRUCTURE AND SERVICES AND BEING ABLE TO HAVE A PLACE TO CHANGE YOUR BABY IS A VERY BASIC PEACE OF INFRASTRUCTURE THAT SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TO ALL MINNESOTANS IT ALSO INSURERS GENDER EQUITY. THIS BILL WOULD ENSURE THAT THEY’RE CHANGING STATIONS IN ALL RESTROOM. SO THAT ALL PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS OF ALL GENDERS CAN TAKE CARE OF DIAPER ING NEEDS.
