Medical Physiology and Therapeutics BSc

the best thing about my course is how varied it is I get to do a lot of physiology which is really interesting and I get to work inside a lab as well as complete theory work as well the range of facilities available on my course we have lectures we have tutorials we have seminars we also have clinical skills as well there with our practice recently we also had the ECG where we took electrocardiogram readings of each other and there was really fascinating me the best thing so far has been how practical the courses do my research and this university offers the most practical aspects for example and the last work the experiments the anatomy it's very rounded when it comes to more things we can do and I'm quite a practical person I like to use my hands a lot there's quite a lot of different special study modules optional modules available in second and third year fifth degree and so for instance there's some rather scientific space modules like cancer biology or cellular basis of disease and then there's also more clinically-oriented with modules like for instance the endocrine module which I undertook in my third year and we actually were able to join one of the endocrinologist in the Royal Derby Hospital one afternoon and shadow them to actually see how the job is done there is literally so much support available just surrounded by it and repeats the lecturers they're there for you throughout everything you have personal pieces that you can speak to on a personal level and have one-to-one conversations you always get emails notifying you when the welfare supporters are in – and where they'll be so you can go and see them whenever I live in Derby and because I wanted to be close to uni and not have to take the help of us every day to come in here and I have to say the Derby is actually really nice the city to live in there's quite a lot of opportunities for students to go out as well as some nice bars and clubs and there's also a museum there's some nice places to eat out and yeah I just really enjoyed the to have this close proximity to uni and not having to catch the hover bus every day my future plans that I have a specific group yet but the great thing about this course is it open so many opportunities so I do have the choice and to achieve anything I want in the medical field so I'm asking you to plan the future back
